About The Jester

The Jester of Columbia, established 1901, is Columbia University’s most laughable humor magazine. We publish 2-4 hard copy issues a year and distribute them free of charge to the Columbia community. We also publish content online (can you tell?), produce live comedy shows, and create the program for Columbia’s The Varsity Show every year. We pride ourselves on having a writer to reader ratio of 2:1, outperforming both the Journal of Politics and Society and The Federalist.

We are always looking for new writers, artists, and editors to contribute to the magazine! Email Cary at jestersubmissions@gmail.com if you are a Columbia/Barnard student who likes making people laugh.

More information on the history of the organization can be found here and here. Not here, though.
