March 22nd, 2016 – Here goes nothing
I finally did it. I mean I’m doing it. I’m motorcycling across America, North, Central and South. I’m keeping this Livejournal here for my friends and family. I was so inspired by the story of Che Guevara, how he rode his bike throughout the Americas. He did that instead of going to college I think. Well I already graduated from Princeton, but somehow, something is telling me going into consulting just isn’t right. Not right now. I need some life experience, so I’m motorcycling across the continents in order to be a BETTER consultant once I return. Then I’ll start a revolution, open up a startup accelerator, and then retire at 35. But for now? I ride.
April 22nd, 2016 – Sorry for the wait!
I’m sure you all are wondering what’s happening/happened with me! Well basically this trip has been GREAT so far! So many wonderful people, with delightfully patterned (tattered) clothing. Things are so quaint here in Nicaragua. I wish I could stay here longer, but it’s very uncomfortable! Though I met some kids who fell in love with the shiny metal on my motorcycle. So much so that they starting lovingly pelting me and my bike with rocks! Once I explained to them in broken English that my name is Brad and not “Diablo del Norte” they let me into their house. I asked if I could slaughter a chicken and they politely asked me to leave! How authentic! Central America….ROCKS! Hehe….
April 29th –
I’m going to stop wearing business casual in the tropics. People here seem to think you’re up to something. My motorcycle was stolen in Costa Rica. Okay, so maybe I got a little high and rode it into the waves. Fine, I got carried away, just like my Mitsubishi. But it’s fine now. I realized that maybe I don’t want to be in a consulting firm. Maybe I wanted to sell trinkets and wares at local markets throughout Central America….until I make it to Brazil where I can establish my social media empire. (Hint: fragrant emojis!!!!)

Wow, I just said screw it. Bought a one way ticket to Sao Paulo, I wanted to get this show on the road. Start this media empire and yes find a mystical carioca with just enough morena (is the proper term Amerindian?) so that she doesn’t remind me of my mother.

Tried ayahuasca. Don’t ask. I heard about DMT and the pineal gland from Joe Rogan and Descartes respectively. So I gave it a shot, and I didn’t look back. The proper term is definitely Amerindian, but just like in America, nobody gives a shit about the census.
July 1, 2016
First day of work here in Boston, MA. Not working at BCG though, I started a nonprofit, well not technically. I sell weed to high school kids who are diagnosed with Asperger’s. But the idea is that I’m making a difference and I’m selling it exclusively to kids with Asperger’s. For as long as that’s a thing, I’ll be here selling brownies, buds and oil. I also found my true calling, and that is Ouija boards. Feel free to check me at my new site http://ouijabrought.us. I’m playing a lot of Mario Kart guys, I’m serious, any attention helps.
Peace, love and seashells,
Brad aka “Wallowing Fireant”
